Reflections on Basin Harbor. Judith will be participating in this popular 10-day juried art show from August 22 through September 1. It leverages the talents of some of Vermont's best known artists to showcase the environmental beauty of The Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain in Vergennes, VT. This art show began when Basin Harbor celebrated its Centennial in 1986 and was so successful it became an end of summer tradition, beginning each year 10 days prior to Labor Day.

Join Judith for the opening on Friday August 22 from 4 - 7 pm. She will also be sitting the show on Wednesday August 27 from 1 to 4 pm.

Brandon -- Thinking Outside the Box. This year the Brandon Artists Guild is stretching the bounds of creativity with their summer fundraiser “Brandon Thinks Outside the Box.” Our artists have been given large wooden boxes and told to let their imaginations run wild. The boxes are on display around the village of Brandon and will remain on view, to surprise and delight passersby, until the evening of October 11th when they will be auctioned off.

My contribution, "Brandon Outside the Box", is just that -- a depiction of the town between the waterfalls. It is on display all summer in the Brandon Artists Guild Gallery at 7 Center St.

"Words that Cook: Parenting with Children's Books" Television Program. Judith's creative touch can be seen on each episode of "Words that Cook: Parenting with Children's Book", a 30 minute television program found on over 60 public access stations across the United States. Judith is the designer, maker and puppeteer for the "Cookie Bookie Bears", the character bears used to help this wonderful literacy program reach the children in the audience as their parents learn ways to enhance their childrens' lives through the love of books. www.wordsthatcook.org.
